Beneficiaries Of Npower Will Begin Receiving Payments In January 2024 – Minister

The day that Npower beneficiaries’ payments would restart is disclosed by Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Betta Edu in today’s Latest Npower News. She stated that payments to Npower beneficiaries would start in January 2024.

This information was provided by the Minister in a recent interview where she addressed problems with the Npower program. She already explained the causes of the delayed N-Power batch C grantees’ stipends.

The Minister claims that because the number of enrollees exceeded expectations, the records of the Npower recipients are currently being reviewed. As a result, meticulous verification is being carried out to remove ineligible beneficiaries from the system prior to the start of payment in January 2024.

According to Dr. Betta Edu, the verification and removal of unqualified Npower beneficiaries would continue through December 2023.

Recall that the Npower program is undergoing restructuring under the new management, and that the program’s name has been changed from Npower to Hope Skills Acquisition Program.

New participants will be enrolled by January 2024 under the new Npower initiative, now called the Hope Skills Acquisition Program. But as the Minister says, backlog payments for confirmed Npower batch C2 beneficiaries who have left will be made.
