What is Skill-Up Nigeria?
Skill up Nigeria is a social empowerment programme which aims at empowering 5 million beneficiaries in 5 years. The programme was launched by President Tinubu led government under the Renewed Hope in order to serve Nigerians more better.
Renewed Hope Skill-Up Nigeria is a transformed and restructured version of Npower program which was introduced by former President Mohammadu Buhari to solve the issue of youth unemployment, reduce poverty and to help social development in the country.

Skill Up Nigeria will be accommodating new programmes in education, health, works, agriculture, technology, entertainment, fashion and other important areas of skill acquisition and employability.
The good news about Skill-Up Nigeria is that the program is for both the Graduate and Non-graduates provided you are 18 to 40 years of age.
The Skill Up Nigeria program target is 5 million beneficiaries in 5 years at the rate of 1 million per year for both the graduate and non-graduate stream.
Through Skill Up Nigeria, skilled and unskilled Nigerian youths will be prepared for the jobs of the future, empowering them with the necessary skills and digital tools to become more productive in the knowledge, economy and taking advantage of opportunities in the community and society to promote Nigerian’s economic growth.
Who is Eligible to Apply for Skill-Up Nigeria?
Here are the categories of persons who are eligible to register for Skill Up Nigeria Programme.
- Graduate and Non-Graduates who are currently unemployed
- Must be between the ages of 18 – 40.
- Must have the National Identification Number (NIN)
