Available Positions for the Nigerian Immigration recruitment 2023
Category A: Superintendent Cadre
- Superintendent of Immigration (Doctors):
Candidates must hold a first-degree MBBS from an accredited university and a release or exemption certificate from NYSC.
- Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (pharmacists)
Candidates must have a first degree in pharmacy from an accredited higher institution and a certificate of release or exemption from the NYSC.
- Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II CONPASS 08
Applicants require a bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
Category B: Inspectorate Cadre
- Assistant Inspector Immigration General Duty
An Advance NABTEB, a National Diploma (ND), or an NCE from an accredited institution is required for applicants.
Category C: Assistant Cadre
- Immigration Assistant III General Duty
The applicants must possess an SSCE/NECO, GCE, or its equivalent with a minimum of four credits earned in no more than two (2) sittings, English and mathematics required.
- Immigration Assistant III Artisans
a) Mechanic
b) Motor driver
Candidates must possess a suitable trade test certificate and the ordinary-level SSCE or its equivalent.

Statutory Requirements for 2023 NIS Recruitment
- Candidates need to be native Nigerians.
- Possess a National ID card.
- Applicants must possess the necessary credentials and certificates.
- You must be in good health and be able to show verification from hospitals with official recognition.
- Must be of good morals and must not have any criminal convictions
- Must submit to and pass drug tests
- The candidate must be between 18 and 30, except that pharmacists and doctors may be at most 35.
- The applicant’s height must be at least 1.65 inches for women and 0.87 inches for males.
COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT)
The shortlisted Nigeria Immigration Service candidates will take a computer-based test to qualify for next phase of the recruitment exercise.
